Mt.Everest stands as a world’s crown. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Trekking in Everest Region is popular for beautiful mountain views including Mt.Everest and other high altitude mountains. The region is rich in cultural activities. The main ethnic groups are Tietan Sherpas, who are rich in cultural activities, festivals, and other religious activities. People’s lifestyle, traditional dresses, festivals and typical foods are major attracting part.
Most of the part of Everest Base Camp Trek is situated in Sagarmatha National Park. The park has rich in flora and fauna. It was established in 1976 and listed in World Heritage Sites in 1979. The tourist activities to this region was started from 1960 after successful summit of Everest in 1953 May. The region has some beautiful lakes, namely Gokyo Valley Lake and many other glaciers lakes.
The park is home ot 118 species of birds, including Himalayan Monal, lood Pheasant, Red-Billed Chough and Yellow-Billed Chough. Also the park has many rear mammal species including Musk Deer, Snow Leopard, Himalayan Black Bear and Red Panda.
